Conservatory Photodump

I got to go on a surprise trip to the conservatory the other day! We met up with a family friend there. I took a bunch of photos while I was there too, so I thought I might as well share them here!

Palm and ficus trees.

A dense patch of many neoregelia plants. Red Hot Cat’s Tail tree. Canary Date Palm tree as seen from below.

Neoregelia, Red Hot Cat's Tail (Acalypha hispida), and Canary Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis).

Calabash tree trunk. Calabash tree branches as seen from below.

Calabash tree (Crescentia cujete).

A patch of bunny ears cacti. A bunch of assorted, small succulents.

Bunny Ears (Opuntia microdasys), Ivory Towers (Crassula socialis), and Mammillaria.

A patch of assorted flowers. A raised bed of various flowers and shrubs. A patch of white, cream, and red stock flowers.

The flower room.

A patch of two different purple flowers with a sign labeled 'Blue Ginger'. A close up of one of the purple flowers. An alternate angle of the same purple flower.

I thought these were blue ginger (Dichorisandra thyrsiflora) because that's what the little sign says. But when I search for images of them online it brings up photos that look more like those other flowers in the background. I'm not sure what these flowers in the foreground are.

Three turtles sitting on some rocks by a water feature. Orange and yellow koi fish of various sizes in a small pond. One of the ponds with koi fish and lots of greenery around it. An alternate angle of one of the ponds that shows how tall some of the surrounding plants are. Animated GIF of the koi fish pond.

The water features were probably my favorite parts. They have real turtles and koi fish. It's so peaceful. I miss it already :(
